My photographic approach is intended, above all, as a tribute to the mysterious power of nature.
A landscape is a living spectacle, a collection of elements that vibrate, harmonize, and clash with one another. Light and shadow constantly change its appearance, its contours, and its colors in a perpetual movement.
I love to feel these vibrations, to wait for nature to surprise me and reveal itself in a new light. Absorbing this magic, letting it work, and then capturing it—this is the very essence and ambition of my work.
In Praise of Time
Photography is not just about capturing a moment, however extraordinary it may be; it is about a communion.
In my view, a landscape must be tamed. You have to wait for the light, follow its movements. Track the shadows and the transformations they create.
Let a reflection, a mist, come and disrupt what might have seemed immutable.
Taking time is the key to my approach. Every work is the fruit of a long wait.
A natural mystic
I do not seek to faithfully reproduce the landscape, but to share a perception: a depth, an immensity, sometimes a few surreal touches.
My photography aims to be an echo of nature's most subtle variations. It thus becomes a mirror of what I feel as much as what I see.
